		<description>I read the book and saw the movie. I didn&#039;t care for the book because I felt like everything in it was common sense and he was trying to make it seem like he discovered something new. I picked it up because so many women were raving about it but I didn&#039;t learn anything at all. I guess it&#039;s good to have it laid out in plain English, but it&#039;s not a book I would recommend. 

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, which is surprising because I&#039;m not a Steve Harvey fan and because I dislike the book so much. (Truth be told, I really just went to stare at Terrance J lol) I think the movie was too long, though. I&#039;m sure that was due to all the product placement and book hyping and Harvey appearance for the entire first half.

As for the &quot;women don&#039;t require marriage&quot;...I think he&#039;s saying that some of us become comfortable and complacent. If a man is content with his situation and feels you are, too, why would he change?

And a bit off topic...funny thing but I really enjoyed Steve&#039;s 2nd book, &quot;Straight Talk, No Chaser.&quot; It wasn&#039;t as popular as the first, but to me it actually provided more information and useful content.</description>
