Try These Looks for a Romantic Valentine’s Day Date Night

Get ready to twist, grab your perm rods or some flexi’s and get to rolling! These 4 tutorials are great for getting you ready for some quality time out with your boo or a night on the town with the girls just celebrating life.

Look #1: Curly Side Swept Curls Paired with a Little Black Dress

On stretched hair, french braid the back section of your hair upward. For the front portion of your hair two strand twist for a curly look you can bantu knot the ends or use rollers. When your hair is done setting under a hooded dryer or setting overnight, gently remove the twists and separate. For the side portion of your hair braid and pin away. Use a good edge control product to sleek down your side and your edges if desired. Pair this beautiful style with your little black dress and you are good to go.

Look #2: Tuck n’ Roll Paired with a Textured Bang

Section off the front portion of your hair for a bang area and leave the remainder of your hair out to be sleek down and pinned up. Get your favorite hair gel to sleek down your sides and for smoothing. Tuck n’ roll your hair upwards and pin into place. Set your hair in two strand flat twists, you can use rods on your ends to get more curl definition. Before removing your twists make sure your hair is completely dry and gently undo the twists. Neatly pin the front portion of your hair down for a beautiful textured bang.

Look #3: Big Full Chunky Romantic Curls

Nae2Curly does a beautiful rod set style and shows off three ways you can rock it. A plain old rod set style on it’s own looks gorgeous, but you can try pinning the sides upward or do a high ponytail with a cute braided headband. She uses flat twists to control the direction of the curls and the rods to define the ends. Large orange rods are used in this style for a more full look.

Look #4: Quick Curly Frohawk

Again, large sized orange rods are used in this style to create full romantic curls. Once the style has been set, the curls are gently fluffed and pinned up with bobby pins to secure into a frohawk. Finish off with lovely dark vampy makeup and you are Valentine’s Day ready.
